“I did my research. Get an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent! Most agents work for the seller in some capacity even when they tell you they only represent buyers. This is because they work for companies that also represent sellers. Do you think they feel any loyalty to the sellers agents that sit next to them in their offices? Of course they do! Alysse’s company only represents buyers and always has. So there is absolutely never a conflict of interest. She only looks out for your best interests and never anyone else’s. You’ll get inside information about some of the tactics that are used by agents that you typically wouldn’t hear from normal agents. Alysse has a great eye for conditions of houses. I remember one of the first homes we saw, almost as soon as we walked in, she said the house was great but the floor is unlevel. I could not see it at all, and never would have seen it if it weren’t for her. It took my wife and I several mintues of looking at the floor from different directions to finally notice it. About Alysse personally, she is fantastic! After looking at several houses over a couple of weeks, I got very discouraged and felt like we were never going to find “the” house. She was patient with me throughout it all. We decided to take a break from looking at houses on the upcoming weekend. But my wife and I found a couple of houses in an area that we really wanted to be in. I told her about them and she immediately made arrangements to go see them both the next day. Folks who are buying homes – The threat to be duped by unethical sell-side realtors is real. Sellers own all the risk. DO NOT work with the same agent on buying / selling a property – while allowable in Texas this practice is illegal in other states due to lobbyists. There are also massive conflicts of interest working with agents who buy and sell for a typical brokerage. Typical realtors and their brokerages get paid more when the price is higher and deals go through. Typical realtors have financial incentives to convince you to buy a property (even if it’s a poor investment) and to pay more for it. It’s just not possible for them to represent your interests with this setup. Eyes wide open folks – typical realtors and brokerages are scummy and setup to take advantage of buyers. What to do? Only way to guarantee someone is working for your interest is to work with a buy side only realtor like Alysse. She helped me avoid getting stuck with a property with foundation issues and also counterweight against an unethical realtor that was failing to provide necessary reports and information. Alysse also does a great job on comps, negotiations strategy, and interpreting a selling agent’s tactics and objectives. Very responsive, very knowledgeable and has great tools to work on documents over email efficiently and quickly. Forget the typical realtors and their conflicts of interest, often poor level of service, and ridiculous commissions and hire Alysse – you won’t regret it”.

Stef was great to work with. From the very beginning, he was very personable, willing to share his past experiences, and willing to guide and teach a first-time buyer. I even brought in the extra challenge of having him work outside of his typical geographical area.
