MLS stands for multiple listing service. Every home being sold through a real estate agent will be listed in MLS. Homebuyers make the mistake of believing they can access this information through online feeds to other services (Zillow, Trulia, Homes.com), but the data the public receives is limited in scope, outdated, and is often inaccurate.
HelpUBuy America is happy to be able to offer homebuyers direct access to the MLS in Dallas and Houston. Clicking on the links below will give you access to the “real” MLS, which is updated in real time. You will have the ability to search the same database of homes that Realtors use, but note the following:
- The Realtor “offering” or “listing” the home works for the seller! This agent is to be treated like a friendly adversary.
- Contact HelpUBuy America directly at Showing@HelpUBuyAmerica.com to schedule a showing on any of the listings you see. Filling out the form on the MLS listing to request a showing is unreliable.
- The version of the MLS you are viewing contains listings that are Active, Active Contingent, Active Option, and Active Kickout; your search results will show you all of these listings as Active when, in fact, some may be AO, AK, or AC (possibly available). Contact us at Showing@HelpUBuyAmerica.com to confirm the status of the homes that interest you.
The easiest way to search for a home is to sign up for a Home Finder account. Simply tell us what you’re looking for and new listings and status changes will be sent to you automatically, or fill out the form on the right of this screen. This service is free, and there is no obligation of any kind.
